On 10 October, the Chestnut Festival returns to the Ascona lakefront.

The crackle of burning wood and the scent of chestnuts roasting over the fire, watched over by expert chestnut roasters: it's the quintessential autumn scene, and impossible to resist. Alongside the roast chestnuts there's a themed market with local produce and handmade crafts, perfect for a stroll past the stalls and through the shops of the old town.
